Wall art help
Lets face it, good quality artwork can be pricey and a huge decision. Rightly so, it's something that you want to pick out because you love it and want to have it for a long time. What about those times when you just need something to liven up a bare wall? This has been my issue in our guest bedroom. I already have great bed and side table. I have even better bedding which I love love love. I haven't really posted about it, but it does show up in pictures. For those that have asked I got it at Pottery Barn. I found it when I was browsing online and I got it instantly. I didn't even have to see it in person which is very odd for me.

So here is this bright happy bedding, and these stark white walls. I'm slightly ashamed of the fact that I make such a big deal about having an awesome looking bedroom and yet I ignore the walls. Part of me goes...we move why bother? And the other part thinks I'm full of crap.
Now I am here...asking you all for your help. I found some really awesome die-cut scrapbook paper that I am going to use for quick, easy, inexpensive artwork for above the bed.
The blank wall above the bed. Yes I have misquote netting, but it's going away. I always had a dream to own one and getting to sleep with the netting all around me, but I think it's time to move on.
I have three different colors and each is a different geometric shape. I like the idea of the geometric patterns being paired up with the soft whimsical flowers and trees on the bedding.
Die-cut paper.

As you can see I have red, green and blue. Which are all colors in the bedding. What I want to do is put a solid color paper behind them. This is my problem, I don't know what to go with and I want to know what you all think.
Option #1: Using a lighter shade for the solid.
Option #2: Using almost the same exact color for the solid.
Option #3: Using other colors found in the bed.
Option #4: Again using other colors in the bed.
Option #5: You pick for me from these colors.
Colors from L-R: Red, light red, orange/yellow, grass green, light green, light blue, blue, purple, brown.

Let me know what you think I should do...
I personally am torn between Options #1 and #3. I voted for #3 though. They all look great!
ReplyDeleteI liked 4 but I can't pin down why. I love the blue cut-out pattern. Reminds me of something that would come from Morocco.
