Beauty: Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure, new color
Just wanted to throw out a quick review of a new color I got from the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure line before I head out to do some thrift store rummaging. I picked up Kook-A-Mango (who comes up with some of these awful awful names?). I was hoping that it was going to be a darker coral color, but it wasn't at all.Without flash and with natural light.
With flash.
When I put the color on I noticed that it was much more of an orange/red color more than a true coral. That, and I have never seen a mango that color in my life (this may be because I have never seen a mango outside of a grocery store that was nowhere near where they are grown). I'm not totally in love with the color and it will probably be destined to be a toe nail only color. The application was okay, but I had some issues with it. The second coat seemed to have an issue applying over the first coat, as in it was a bit clumpy/streaky. I was able to even out any issues with a top coat.
I did compare the brush with the brush of the color I tested here. I will agree that there is a brush head inconsistency. This brush only had the taper on one side instead of both.
Now that I have tested two formulas, I can say that it's probably not a line I will buy from again unless they have an amazing must-have color. The price just isn't worth it to me when there are other great nail polish lines out there for the same price.
What do you think of the color? Have you tried the line yet?
